Getting ready to go!!!

I wanted to start this blog to better communicate with my family and friends on my whereabouts as I'm traveling. I had a little issue in 1998 were I became "missing" and didn't want that to happen again :)

About 2 1/2 months ago I quit my job to spend some time seeing the world. Although I did this back in 2000, the world had changed a lot. So time to hit the road again!

I just returned from a trip to Minnesota to see my family and friends, what a weekend to visit. Vikings fans going crazy over Favre and the upcoming game with the Packers, the Wild had their season opener, the twin cites marthon and you can't forget the Twins. I got to see all the hype but had to come home, so watched the football and baseball games from Washington.

The last two days I have been getting ready to go to the Grand Canyon, I have never been to the Grand Canyon. I'm traveling with Indie the dog and our 16' Airstream trailer. I have about a month for this trip so I plan to see alot of the western U.S. during this trip.

My tenative route is to go through WA, OR, ID, UT, AZ on the way down and come back through CA, OR, and WA on the way home. Of course all this could change on a moments notice or if Indie the dog wants to find a better place to swim.

So tomorrow I leave. I'm planning to get to the Washington/Oregon border by the end of the day. I'll post more and pictures over the next few weeks.
